What is color noise?

If we were to deconstruct a sound, we would see that it has two main elements which are referred to as frequency and amplitude. Together these form sounds which are given color names similar to the way light has colors along a spectrum. All color noises together produce white noise, much like the colors of a rainbow merging (which would produce white light). This article explains this in more depth.
